Meet our Global Sustainability Advisor
Captain Simon Bennett - helping to shape the future standards of maritime sustainability and marking a strategic commitment to strengthening our position as an international leader in responsible ship recycling. In 2016, long before officially joining us, Captain Bennett began engaging with our ship recycling facilities (SRF). His first-hand observations of our practices and forward thinking shaped his lasting impression.

Over the next four decades, he built a distinguished career that spanned Ship Command, health, safety and security, project development, and sustainability leadership. He held senior positions such as Country Manager, HSE Manager, and Marketing Manager across diverse geographies, including Southeast Asia, the West Asia, and Eastern Europe. He later established and led offshore ice-breaking operations in Arctic conditions and for the last 20 years of his main line career, he oversaw sustainable development strategies for three different fleets totalling over 150 commercial vessels.
